What it Is
BMW 1 Series tii Concept Preview – 2008 Chicago Auto Show: Rumormill reports say that BMW may introduce the production version of its 1 Series tii coupe at the Chicago Auto Show. While we can’t confirm it, there’s nothing to stop us from speculating. Which is precisely what we intend to do. We already know what to expect, at least a little; the tii “concept” that BMW showed at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show looked production ready, with an emphasis on weight reduction and aerodynamics, along with a white/carbon/blue tri-color design to set it apart.

Why it Matters
BMW has shown concepts in the past that have become production cars. We’ll find out if the rumors are true or not on Feburary 6. If they are, the company gets another opportunity to link the new two-door sedan with the iconic 2002 model that ignited the brand in the U.S.
